The hostettler group is one of the major economic drivers in Central Switzerland, with over 700 employees working for 13 companies – made up of 10 trading companies and 3 management companies.

Founded in 1906, the hostettler group is active across the country in the motorcycle, automotive, consumer electronics and bicycle sectors. The group has become stronger on an international level through company acquisitions in the European bicycle market, and maintains a logistics hub for Europe in the south of Germany.

Under the leadership of the group’s CEO, Dr. Pascal Lütolf, the group continues to develop further in the areas of its core competencies: as a general importer of the market-leading motorcycle brand Yamaha for Switzerland; as an importer and manufacturer of the bicycle brands Wheeler and BiXS; and as the owner of the clothing and accessories brand iXS for motorcycle and bicycle enthusiasts – a brand which is sold around the world. In contrast, Motochic concentrates on the import of well-known brands of motorcycle accessories and clothing. intercycle ag imports bicycles, as well as leading brands of bicycle accessories and clothing – and is also a general importer of the GoPro action camera.

With the company hostettler autotechnik ag, the hostettler group is one of the leading suppliers of replacement, service and consumable parts for more than 9000 types of vehicles in Switzerland. The Autofit garage concept is situated in around 280 locations throughout Switzerland, and offers a comprehensive vehicle maintenance and repair service. pneuservice 4-Rad is a general importer of the successful tire brand ‘Nexen’ and, as a wholesaler, also has one of the largest tire storage facilities in Switzerland at its disposal. Tire retail sales take place via the 11 branches of hostettler’s autotechnik ag.

Electromobility is of particularly high importance to the hostettler group. The company monitors and evaluates the latest developments in this field, and identifies and utilizes any opportunities that arise. intercycle ag is one of the leading suppliers in the field of electric bicycles, recording increases in sales figures for e-bikes year on year. Today the hostettler group is already offering solutions which do not use internal combustion engines, with the emission-free EC-03 electric scooter from Yamaha, and the Birò personal commuter by hostettler motoren ag.
